Donnie Macleod is Executive Director of Education for Fife Council, leading services across more than 150 schools and nurseries. With over 30 years in education, Donnie began as a classroom teacher before serving for 14 years as one of Education Scotland’s HM Inspectors of Education. He later moved into senior leadership in local government, including as Head of Service at Glasgow City Council, where he led improvement across digital learning, curriculum, assessment, and teaching practice.
